Review: MAC Lipstick - Captive A25 + Swatches

Happy first day of Fall everyone!:) Yay! Can you believe that? And are you as excited as I am?:) Ahh.. there's something about fall the makes me so happy, perhaps it's about the weather, getting cozy, and drinking my favorite pumpkin spice latte.:) Eeek!

I am here today sharing another lipstick review with you. Lipstick is one of my favorite make up, I just can't get enough, so when I saw this MAC Captive Lipstick, I just have to get it. I got it early this year, and have been using it ever since. I got it for $17 at Nordstrom.

As you can see, it's a beautiful plum shade. A hint of berry and a hint of brown - but more on plum shade. :)

The left swatch is just 1 swipe. And the right swatch has  3 swipes.

My Thoughts: I think this shade is a perfect everyday lipstick, it gives a nice pop of color but not too over the top. And with fall season, it's just the perfect berry / plum shade that is popular at this time of year.

It is a satin finish - which makes it soft and easy to apply. I have to add that it is also semi- matte finish - which you can feel after awhile, but it is not too drying.

If you're having a dry lips kind of day, I suggest to moisturize it first with a lip balm or petroleum jelly. Because of the finish that it gives, it will define each dry lines on your lips.

It's a buildable lipstick. Awesome coverage and long lasting. Do we have to re-apply it? Yes, depending on what you eat. But not a problem.:)

I would rate it 4.5 star out of 5. Some days I don't feel like wearing a semi-matte lipstick, so I don't reach out for this. But it is still an awesome lipstick for everyday.

Have you tried this lipstick? Would love to hear your thoughts!:)

Thanks again for joining me today!:)
